This page explains limits that affect every automated checker; how we surface uncertainty instead of hiding it; and why you should pair our output with your own judgement and platform documentation.
Tool Accuracy
Our tool fetches real live HTML from the URL you analyze. However, some results may be limited by JavaScript-rendered content (AI crawlers face the same limitation), server configurations that block automated requests, and dynamic content loaded after page render. We show a notice when we detect these conditions.
We surface warnings when responses look incomplete; when redirects chain in unusual ways; when headers suggest bot filtering; and when the fetched HTML differs from what a logged-in user might see in a browser session.
robots.txt Interpretation
Our robots.txt parser follows the standard specification. Some non-standard configurations may produce unexpected results. When in doubt, verify your robots.txt using Google Search Console.
Crawlers can disagree on edge cases; staging rules can differ from production; CDNs can serve alternate robots files; and some hosts return different files by region or client type.
PageSpeed Data
Speed data is sourced directly from Google's PageSpeed Insights API. We display this data as-is without modification. For authoritative speed data, visit pagespeed.web.dev.
Lab metrics can move between runs; field data depends on Chrome UX samples; third-party scripts can dominate a profile; and mobile versus desktop runs can tell different stories for the same URL.
Data Storage
Analysis reports are stored for 7 days. URL cache data is stored for 24 hours to speed up repeat checks unless you request a fresh analysis. Rate limit and CAPTCHA verification data reset every 2 hours.
Cached snapshots exist to speed repeat checks; they are not a permanent archive; they can be bypassed when you request a fresh run; and they should not be treated as legal evidence of a historical page state.
No Guarantee of AI Search Visibility
This tool measures technical readiness signals. Meeting all criteria does not guarantee citations in AI-generated answers. AI citation depends on content quality, topical authority, and many factors beyond technical optimization.
Models change retrieval behaviour; platforms add new crawlers; policies shift without a public countdown; and a clean technical readout is only one input among many when a brand is chosen for citation.
